Communal kitchen facilities are available, in addition to a cèilidh space. For those who are not familiar, cèilidh is a Scottish Gaelic word for a gathering, from the root ri chèile; to come together. People come together to share songs, poetry, music and to pass on stories. What better way to get to know your fellow guests, and truly immerse yourself in the island experience.

Grinneabhat is situated in the village of Bragar on the West side of Lewis 16 miles (25.7km) from the main town of Stornoway. When leaving Stornoway (A857) take the second exit on the roundabout onto MacAulay Rd . Follow the A857 until you come to the village of Barvas, approx 15 minutes from Stornoway. Take the first left which will take you onto the A858. Bragar is 4.3 miles from Barvas.
Grinneabhat is on the Hebridean Way route.
If arriving in Tarbert, Isle of Harris the journey is 50.2 miles, (80.7km) taking the direct route which should take 1 hour 14 minutes by car. Head north-west on A859 towards Scott Rd. Contiune onto Willowglen Rd/A858.
At the roundabout take the 1st exit on MacAulay Rd /A857.
Continue to follow A857 for approx 15 minutes. Take the first left at Barvas onto the A857 and continue for 4.3 miles till you reach the Grinneabhat Building.
