Kirsty's Cabins

Isle of Tiree

Unique self catering cabins in the centre of the island, a great base for exploring!

Situated on the south side of the island, in the centre, whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or for a pause in your hectic lives, we hope the spirt of the island and its people create a magical atmosphere for you to enjoy.

Perfect for the lovers of the outdoors (there's a bike rack to secure your bike) or you wish to rest by the wood burning stove reading a book, this place is special.....

Either sitting in front of the log burner looking out the sliding doors or from the decking, watch the lambs charging around in the Spring, hear the corncrakes in May and June, the longer light nights over the summer months or simply listen to the stillness.

5 minutes walk to Crossapol beach to walk on the golden sands or take a dip.

Minium stay is 3 nights.

One king size bed

The bed area is open plan with the seating, kitchen and dining area with a separate shower room.

    Directions and Parking

    Arriving by boat…
When you get off the boat you keep driving until you get to a ‘T’ junction where you will see the sign for Crossapol on the right. It’s a straight single track road (as are most roads on the Island!) so, simply follow it.

You will pass through the main town called Scarinish where the Co-Op, bank and post office are then you will follow the coast, along the reef where you will see the airport to your right and you will arrive in the small township of Crossapol.

There’s a shop on your right, then a row of houses and finally a swing park. Just after the park, turn right and you will pass the bus garage on your left, go through the narrow bit in the road and the lane up to Iona View and Morven Cottage is the next on the left.

The cabins are beyond this, you will recognise them from the pictures, Hynish is the one to the left. If you could park with either your nose or boot to the fence please, in line with the post nearest the cabins of the fence gate as this will give everyone else room to manoeuvre 🙂. You will notice bike racks there too should you need them.

    Arriving by plane….
There is car hire available which you can book in advance and the number is below. Alternatively you can walk :)

If you go to the end of the road, turn left at the T junction and you are heading towards the sea and Crossapol. You will pass a couple of houses on the right and then you will see a caravan near to the road and immediately after that a lane up to Iona View and Morven Cottage on your right - that’s you!

Head up the lane and round the back of the cottage and you will see two wooden cabins - ‘Hynish’ is on the left.
