Grinneabhat Posh-tel: Uiseag Room

Isle of Lewis

Four bed en-suite bunk room

Named after the Gaelic for the skylark (pronounced oo-shag), this room has four individually curtained bunk beds, with a private shower room. Each bunk has its own light and charging point.

Communal kitchen facilities are available, in addition to a cèilidh space. For those who are not familiar, cèilidh is a Scottish Gaelic word for a gathering, from the root ri chèile; to come together. People come together to share songs, poetry, music and to pass on stories. What better way to get to know your fellow guests, and truly immerse yourself in the island experience.

The skylark can be seen on croftland, moorland and on the machair, a small bird whose song and display flight has inspired many a bàrd or poet.
